Auckland - Paris - Home

Working currently on the idea of Home, what it means to me and more interestingly looking at the cumulative effect of the small interventions that I see everywhere in the urban landscape. There will be two book works, Volume 1, Auckland and Volume 2, Paris. Fifty pictures each. Here are four recent images made in Auckland, but they could be anywhere.....

This sounds great! I've been looking at the idea of home myself. What home is to different people, and 'where' exactly home is. I was really inspired by Gavin Hipkin's 'The Homely', it's stayed with me ever since the exhibition in 2001 and seems so much more relevant now, living in another country. Actually your work has also been a big source of inspiration for me with this idea. The sense of place is what first brought me to your work. Looking forward to the books.

I particularly enjoy the first of these four images.
